Mary Hare Primary School
Mary Hare School proposed the development of a new primary school site, a new boarding house and a potential workshop in its existing campus site at Snelsmore Common near Newbury in Berkshire. The Architects were PLB. The school caters for pupils from nursery age to 11 years old. The masterplan for the two buildings was developed assuming 6 classrooms to cater for around 48 deaf pupils.
QEF Leatherhead
Sustainable Acoustics worked with Capital and Provincial and Architects LOM to produce the acoustic strategy on the development of the Care and Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) and a workshop building. The goal of this project was to create a Charitable Hub, providing communal facilities for QEF and other partner charities at their HQ in Leatherhead, close to the M25.
Casa Cruz
Sustainable Acoustics was successful in response to the tender for the noise assessment study required to support the planning application for the proposed new restaurant at 123A Clarendon Road, London. A noise assessment was required to assess the noise impact of a proposed plant associated with the restaurant.
Riverside School
A pre-installed Yorkon concrete floor minimised work on-site and provided enhanced acoustics and a high-quality, robust finish for a demanding school environment. Our services for this new free school involved setting out the requirements of BB 93. We are providing ongoing input on the acoustic issues associated with the design of the building envelope. An extension to the Overground is to pass close to the school in the future and we have provided advice to mitigate the risk of noise from passing trains.
