The Institute’s Environmental Noise Group is in its final stages of preparing professional guidance that is primarily intended for acousticians to be able to interpret and implement the National Planning Policy Framework and National Statement for Noise in England. This is an important document which Government value as the industry’s response to what are otherwise very broad strategic documents. It is likely that this document will shape how environmental noise assessments are completed in the future. 

The members are being offered a final consultation phase before it is presented to the Institute Council for approval and commended for wide application.
